IQ (intelligence quotient), is the attempt to measure human intelligence in a test format. IQ tests measure a person’s cognitive abilities including problem solving, reasoning, pattern recognition, and memory. It’s also important at which speed you are able to process all this information.

There are several different types of IQ test questions, but the important thing is that, to be valid, a question type must be “g loaded”. This means that it focuses on tasks that require complex information processing, abstract reasoning, and novel problem-solving rather than rote knowledge. What Does IQ Measure?

The different test and activities above each have a specific purpose in testing an individual’s raw brain power and intelligence (also known a G Factor). These are not tests that are dependent on your level of education, which can vary from country to country and place to place, or your cultural context and environment, which would give you an advantage if you had been exposed to similar information or questions before. Whether you a university educated European, or a factory worker from South America should not matter on these tests. Only your ability to see and interpret patterns comes into play.
